BankWatch - access control in Banking Agencies
INTRODUCTION
The system called BankWatch provides the use of biometric technologies related to fingerprint, geometry of the hand and the image of the face (2D or 3D), used together or separately, to provide useful data to the recognition of the Robber by the police and to recognize behavior that could take a Robber in the process of carrying out a robbery.
DESCRIPTION
BankWatch, which presents itself with a modular architecture , is composed by a principal unit (called "Central") of a stand alone monitoring, by one or more data acquisition devices and possibly by one or more actuators. These devices can be biometric sensors in standard AFIS and / or high resolution cameras, Relays pilot or inputs for data acquisition. All devices are connected to the central systems by Wired. The Central can be optionally linked in Lan in order to be able to talk with other Central or a supervisor to manage the second level alarms.
IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM
The processing system analyzes continually the scene, automatically adapting to any changes in lighting. When it detects the presence of one or more persons in the supervised area, it can automatically activate recording of the video sequence that is stored in compressed format in Central.
The Image Processing System is capable of detecting in real time the presence of "valid" faces and to recognize suspicious characteristics, for example masking, occlusion or facial expressions particularly emphasized.
